Must use the Google Legal Troubleshooter web form

Provide exact URLs from Google Search results (not the original site)

Include search queries that surface the infringing content

Specify whether content is in Search, Images, Maps, or other Google products

Visit the Legal Troubleshooter

Navigate to Google's Legal Troubleshooter and select "Report content on Google"

Select Copyright Issue

Choose "Copyright" as the type of legal issue you are reporting

Identify the Google Product

Select the specific Google product where infringing content appears (Search, Images, Blogger, etc.)

Fill Out the Form

Complete all required fields including your contact info, copyrighted work description, and infringing URLs

Submit and Track

Submit the form and note your case number for follow-up. Google will email you with updates.

Use the Lumen Database to track your Google takedown requests

Google processes bulk requests — you can list multiple URLs in one submission

For Google Search, provide the cached URL, not just the original page URL

Google Transparency Report publishes DMCA statistics quarterly

If no response within 14 days, resubmit via the web form and reference your original case number.
